Using the Right Toothpaste

The Sonicare toothbrush doesn't require that you use special toothpaste. However, toothpaste with baking soda or peroxide can be hard on your brush handle and is not recommended.

Also, you may find that you do not need to use as much toothpaste with Sonicare because of the effect of the sonic technology.

To apply toothpaste, first, put the bristles under running water for a few seconds to moisten, then apply the toothpaste. To avoid toothpaste splatter, place the brush head in your mouth before you press the power button.
