Philips Sonicare Mentor of the Year

The Sonicare/RDH Mentor of the Year award is an opportunity for us to recognize the person who has had the most impact on your career as a dental hygienist. Each year, we ask you to nominate your mentor—a person who is your teacher, friend and guide.

Who is a mentor? Some guidelines for you to follow are below.

A mentor is a dental hygienist who is a:

  • Wise and loyal advisor or coach
  • Teacher who motivates, inspires and challenges your growth
  • Friend and tutor who helps you better know yourself
  • Trusted and supportive guide who builds your strengths

Philips Sonicare/RDH will reward both the winner and the nominator. Join our efforts to celebrate excellence in the dental hygiene profession.


 

Philips Sonicare and RDH magazine are proud to announce our 2010 Mentor of the Year, Pam Myers, RDH, of Huntsville, TX.

Pam Myers is the dental hygiene coordinator for the University of Texas Medical Branch, Correctional Managed Health Care in Huntsville, TX. Pam was nominated by her co-worker, Anita Jones.

Sonicare and RDH magazine are now accepting nominations for the 2011 Sonicare/RDH Mentor of the Year award.

Please take your time answering the questions, as the quality and content of your nomination are important to the winner’s selection.

Nominate a Mentor

All entries must be submitted before September 30, 2010, for the 2011 award.

Note: You will be directed to an external nomination survey hosted by PennWell Dental Group.

Entry
One entry per person. You may nominate one mentor for the award.

Nomination Form
You will be asked to complete some multiple choice questions, while others will require written information regarding your nominee. Please note that some questions are limited to no more than a specific number of words. Please follow the instructions on the nomination form.

Notification of Winner and Nominator
The winner and nominator are notified by Philips Sr. Manager of Professional Relations, first by phone, and if unsuccessful, then by email. Please make sure to enter correct, current contact information for yourself and for your nominee when submitting your entry.

2011 Award Winner Receives:
  1. Round trip air travel and two nights’ hotel accommodation to ADHA’s 2011 Annual Session meeting
  2. A reception in the winner’s honor
  3. A commemorative crystal award
  4. Free tuition to the RDH Under One Roof 2011 conference
  5. Cover photo and feature story in the April 2011 edition of RDH magazine
  6. Philips flat screen television and Sonicare toothbrush
Nominator of 2011 winner receives a $200.00 American Express gift certificate.

Our panel of judges are previous award winners who judge the nominations and present recommendations for the finalists for the upcoming award year.
